HUSK’s Training Programme
Training

Often when I visit organisations and discuss with staff the importance of equality and diversity in an organisation and pose the question about who is responsible for equality in their organisation? They often name the person within the organisation with this particular responsibility, not fully comprehending that they have a responsibility too.

Most organisations design strong equality and diversity policies, impact assess activities but do not fully prepare the staff to be disability confident, staff are often those on front line who need to feel confident in delivering fair and equitable services to customers.

It is essential in either delivering an equitable service or being an employer of choice that staff understand the role they play in promoting opportunity, challenging discrimination and ensuring inclusion.

HUSK’s training  will help the delegate  understand the part they play and the responsibilities they have in delivering your organisations equality and diversity best practice model.

HUSK

I have learnt that the best way to provide training is to allow the delegates to look at their own part in removing discrimination and building on the social model of inclusive communities and this is best served not through lecturing, reading policies or form filling but through facilitated discovery
